Free Boat Plans Bundle — Six Community-Shared Design Compilation

Maximum design variety in one bundle

If you want the broadest selection of small-boat designs in a single package, this is it: six independent boat plans covering skiffs, dories, scows, johnboats and folding dinghies. The bundle targets the “free boat plans” search modifier because community-shared plans dominate that intent — but a curated, organised bundle is worth a paid download for the time saved hunting them down individually.

What’s included

1. Happy Clam Skiff — simple plywood skiff with frames and construction sequence (1.5 MB)
2. Sea Skiff — larger plywood sea skiff with offsets (2.2 MB)
3. South Haven Dory — small dory plan set with construction details (762 KB)
4. Scow Boat — flat-bottom scow plan (343 KB)
5. Micro Folding Dinghy — compact folding dinghy design — packs into a car boot (510 KB)
6. The Ozark Johnboat — classic American flat-bottom utility (148 KB)

What you get out of this

• Beginners — start with the Ozark Johnboat or Happy Clam (simplest, cheapest). The Scow is a 1-weekend build.
• Intermediates — South Haven Dory and Sea Skiff teach proper plywood-with-chine techniques
• Travellers / apartment dwellers — the Micro Folding Dinghy was designed for storage and portability
• Comparative study — six designs in one place lets you compare construction approaches before committing to a build

Construction methods covered

Across the six plans: stitch-and-glue (Happy Clam), traditional plank-on-frame (Sea Skiff, Dory), simple cross-planked or sheet-plywood-on-chine (Johnboat, Scow), and folding chine construction (Micro Folding Dinghy).

Who this is for

Amateur boat builders who want maximum value per dollar in design variety, builders who haven’t decided which boat to build yet and want options on the table, and educators teaching small-boat design.
