About the CL-415
The CL-415 is the turboprop successor to the piston-engined Canadair CL-215, which first flew in 1967. Both scoop water from a lake while skimming the surface, then drop it on the fire.
Construction
Built-up balsa and plywood construction. The plan shows a retracting main undercarriage, with a note on building a fixed one instead. A twin-motor amphibian is an advanced build, suited to experienced builders.
